Mr. Lucas has over 30 years experience as a consulting engineer, 15 years of which has been in the role of Principal-in-Charge of the San Francisco office of ATCG. Michael is responsible for engineering design, technical validity, integrity, accuracy, and overall quality control. He has directed projects in diverse locations beyond California such as Texas, Hawaii, New York, Holland, Spain, Scotland, Switzerland, Singapore, and England.

Michael's project/client experience includes the award winning Ohlone College Health Science and Technology Campus. This innovative campus was awarded LEED Platinum certification. Additional project experience includes Lucas Film's Skywalker Ranch, California Palace of the Legion of Honor, Underwater World at Pier 39, Inn at Spanish Bay Pebble Beach, various libraries, museums, universities, resorts, hospitals, and convention centers. Michael completed and the Stanford University Library, a state-of-the-art facility designed to protect over $1 billion worth of books and journals of the university's irreplaceable collection. Mr. Lucas is also the over site mechanical engineer for the $1B UCSF Mission Bay Hospital.
